Floppy disks are a rather unreliable and obsolete medium. Very often there are situations when a copy of a file is on a magnetic disk, but it refuses to function, or the files on a floppy disk simply do not open.
Instructions
Step 1
Insert the floppy disk into the appropriate drive in the system unit. Open "My Computer", go to the very first drive displayed in devices. If you have a problem opening the floppy disk itself, and not the files on it, this may well mean that you have lost the data irretrievably. Try opening the floppy disk on another computer.
Step 2
If it is the floppy disk files themselves that are damaged or cannot be read for some other reason, try using additional installed programs to read damaged information from removable media. There are a lot of such programs on the network, but most of them are paid, but they have a trial period, therefore they are quite suitable for a one-time operation.
Step 3
Download and install the BadCopy Pro application on your computer. It reads corrupted data with a high probability of full recovery, even if the device was formatted quickly. Naturally, you can use any other program, they all have a similar interface and functionality. It is best to download the software from the developer's official website.
Step 4
Open the installed program, familiarize yourself with its interface. Select your floppy disk as the medium from which the files will be read, perform the necessary operations, according to the instructions of the program.
