Instructions
Step 1
The video card BIOS is not on the driver disc. Therefore, you need to download it from the Internet. Also for the firmware you will need a proprietary Ati flash utility, a USB flash drive and an MS-DOS image. All the listed software can be easily found on the Internet. You can take any flash drive, the capacity does not matter.
Step 2
Now you need to create a bootable USB flash drive to which you want to write an MS-DOS image, the latest firmware for your video card model and the Ati flash utility. There are a lot of programs for creating bootable flash drives on the Internet. It is best to use UltraIso. Install the program to your hard drive. Start it up.
Step 3
Select "Open" from the program menu. Specify the path to all previously downloaded files. They must be in the same folder. Select all files and click "Open". Next, in the program menu, select "Self-upload" and "Burn image from hard disk". After that, select your USB flash drive and click "Yes". Wait for the operation to complete.
Step 4
Go to BIOS. The DEL key is usually used for this. If you were unable to enter the BIOS with it, look at the instructions for your motherboard, most likely you need to use a different key.
Step 5
In the BIOS, in parameter 1 Boot device, install the USB flash drive. Exit BIOS after saving the settings. The computer will reboot and the system will start from the USB stick. When the input console appears, you need to type the command Atiflash -s 0 oldbios.bin. After a few seconds, the computer will restart.
Step 6
Then enter Atiflash -p 0 mybios.bin. The computer will restart again. Remove the USB stick. Restart your computer using the button on the system unit. Enter BIOS and in parameter 1 Boot device install your hard disk.
Step 7
Exit BIOS. Remember to save your settings when you exit. The computer will reboot and the system will start normally. The graphics card BIOS is now updated.
