One of the ways to solve the problem of removing extra spaces between words or before punctuation marks can be the creation of macros, implemented by standard Microsoft Word tools, and allowing you to automate the solution of the problem.
Instructions
Step 1
Press the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "All Programs" item to perform the operation of removing extra spaces between words.
Step 2
Point to Miicrosoft Office and start Word.
Step 3
Open the document to be edited and open the "Tools" menu in the upper toolbar of the program window.
Step 4
Select the "Macro" item and use the "Start recording" command in the opened directory.
Step 5
Enter the desired name in the Macro Name field in the new dialog box and click the hammer icon button to bring the dedicated button to the toolbar, or select the keyboard icon button to control the macro using keys.
Step 6
Go to the "Commands" tab of the dialog box that opens and drag the created macro from the right pane of the window to the toolbar.
Step 7
Exit the open window and simultaneously press the Ctrl + H keys to invoke the Find and Replace dialog box.
Step 8
Open the window by clicking the "More" button to access the search characteristics management and clear the contents of the "Find" and "Replace with" fields.
Step 9
If it is active, click the Clear Formatting button and apply the checkbox to the Wildcards field in the Search Options section.
