It is necessary
Wi-Fi adapter
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to make a wired connection of a stationary computer to a netbook, then purchase a network cable and an additional network card. This method is the cheapest, but it negates the main advantage of the netbook. If you want to keep the device mobile, then purchase a Wi-Fi adapter for your computer.
Step 2
Select the appropriate UBS or PCI adapter. Connect this device to the appropriate port and install the software and drivers for it. Create and configure a connection to the provider's server. Make sure the desktop computer can access the Internet.
Step 3
Open Network and Sharing Center (Windows Seven). Select the "Manage Wireless Networks" menu. Click the Add button. Click on the second option "Create a computer-to-computer network" and click the "Next" button in the next window.
Step 4
Fill in all the fields of the menu that appears. Be sure to select the type of security suitable for your netbook's wireless adapter. Enter the password and activate the "Save this network parameters" item. Click the Next button and close the window after creating a new network.
Step 5
Turn on the netbook and enable this device to scan for available wireless networks. Select the network you just created and connect to it.
Step 6
In the event that you need to provide your netbook with Internet access, open the Wi-Fi adapter settings on your computer. Go to TCP / IPv4 Properties. Enter the static IP value 64.64.64.1.
Step 7
Open your internet connection properties. Select the "Access" tab. Allow the wireless network to use this internet connection.
Step 8
Open the TCP / IPv4 properties in the wireless settings of the netbook. Enter the IP address 64.64.64. 2. Fill in the "Default gateway" and "Preferred DNS server" fields with the IP address of the stationary computer. Save the settings.
