But if you can lay out cards only using the keyboard, then more complex games require a special joystick. And the process of connecting it consists of several stages: installation, verification, configuring the game to work with the joystick.
Instructions
Step 1
Test the game by preinstalling the joystick drivers on your PC. It is worth making sure that the game itself provides the ability to connect. To do this, connect the joystick and go into the game. Enter the settings screen, then “control settings”. Check the box or select your device in the list of devices. If the joystick does not work, then for reliability check it on other games. If the joystick does not work in only one game, then contact the game developer support.
Step 2
If you are not getting any response from the joystick, test it for proper operation. In operating systems of the Windows family, open "Control Panel", then "Game Controllers". Your joystick status should be "OK". If the status is without "Ok", then click on the "Properties" button and go to the "Check" tab. If the joystick is working properly, it will vibrate or give signals.
Step 3
In the case when the status of the joystick is "not connected" (such a problem is encountered when connecting to the Game port) or the joystick is simply not in this window (joysticks with a USB connection), then the cause may be either a malfunction of the joystick or the software used by Windows …
Step 4
Joysticks on the Game port. If the status of the joystick is "Not connected", you should make sure that it is connected in a single copy. Check if the Game port is working properly. "Control Panel" - "System" - "Device Manager" - "Sound, … or" Game devices "-" computer.
Step 5
Joysticks with USB port. USB controllers are automatically added to the list of game devices after they are connected. If the joystick does not appear in the list, then check if the computer can see it. Refer to the device manager (see above) and make sure that the controller is correctly installed in the device list. If not, turn on the joystick.
