Modern computers are capable of solving a large amount of tasks. However, the wealth of choice comes at a price. Powerful processors and fast graphics cards require cooling, and the power supply also needs cold air. After just five minutes of operation, the computer hums like a vacuum cleaner and squeaks unpleasantly with all the mounting washers of the case. To avoid this effect, it is enough to replace some parts of the computer and carefully consider the place of its installation.

Step 1
Turn on your computer. Run any resource-intensive application. A game in which there is a significant load on the central processor and video card of the computer is best suited. You need to wait 10-15 minutes. During this time, all major computer systems should be operating at their peak power.
Step 2
Stop the running application. After 5-10 minutes, the sound emitted by the cooling fans should decrease, and then completely disappear. Continued noise indicates a problem with the cooling of the computer. The power of the coolers is not enough, and therefore they work all the time while the system is functioning, which leads to a significant reduction in their service life, as well as overheating of the processor and video card. For the same reason, the computer becomes a constant annoying source of noise.
Step 3
To fix the situation, install new coolers. Opt for those with a special silent design and thermostatic control. The blades of such fans work fast enough and at the same time do not create additional noise load.
Step 4
If your computer continues to hum, try another chassis that already has a powerful fan. Perhaps, in this case, additional coolers are not needed. Pay attention to the ventilation holes in the case itself. There should be a lot of them in order for natural heat removal from the power supply to occur.
Step 5
Listen for the nature of the noise your computer is making. Sometimes the problem is not so much with the fans as with the case mount. Purchase and install special spacers and isolation washers to eliminate noise resonance.
Step 6
Move the PC to a different location if the noise occurs due to the contact of the case with the floor or parts of the table. Purchase vibration-absorbing feet from the store.
Step 7
Install special foam rubber soundproofing pads inside the case. Take a screwdriver and methodically tighten all the connections inside the PC case. Inspect the condition of the external mounting hardware. If necessary, replace all metal washers and screws with plastic to further reduce vibration noise.
