Increasing this parameter and at the same time improving the quality will not work, since the editor program simply has nowhere to take additional pixels to form an image. Most often, an extension is edited and scaled down. Virtual Dub copes well with this task.

Instructions
Step 1
Download the program from the official website at the link https://www.virtualdub.org/download.html and install on your computer. Run the application by double clicking on the installation file. Try to install such software on the system local drive of the personal computer

The main window of the program resembles a regular video file player. Even a novice user can operate this software. Despite the fact that the program interface is in English, all commands are easy to remember. Click Video - Filters - Add and select Resize. Add this component by clicking OK.
Step 3
The video resolution filter settings window will open. Set the required parameters. You can set the size of the picture manually, but please note that standard video players will expect a certain resolution from your file, and the unusual size will not be displayed correctly.
Step 4
Click the Show preview button to see how your changes affect the image. Try all values of the Filtr mode field to determine your choice of resolution. Set the aspect ratio of the picture. Click OK when finished with the filter. It's also worth noting that it's best to save your edited video to a new folder so that the original stays the same as you can change the resolution in other settings as well.
Step 5
The program will display a window with a list of all filters connected to the video image. Click OK to close the window. You will return to the main program window.
