Your Windows computer's webcam allows you to take a photo. You can use the Camera app in Windows 10 to do this.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you have a webcam on your computer. If your laptop has a built-in webcam like most others, you can easily take a picture. If it is missing, you will need to install a webcam on your computer before proceeding.
Step 2
You need to click on the start button or click the Windows logo in the lower left corner of the screen.
Step 3
Enter the word "camera" in the search box. This will search your computer for the camera application, which allows you to take a picture with any connected camera.
Step 4
Once your computer has found the application you want, click the white camera-shaped icon at the top of the Start window. This will open the Windows camera app.
Step 5
Wait for your computer's camera to turn on. The light next to your camera should come on when the camera is on and you should see yourself in the camera app window.
Step 6
Turn the computer over to where you want to photograph. You should see an image of your photo on the screen.
Step 7
Click the Capture button. This camera-shaped icon is at the bottom of the camera application window. To do this, take a photo and save it in the Windows Photos app.
