A laptop is more convenient than a regular computer due to its rich configuration. For example, you can take a photo from the built-in webcam, make a video call with it, arrange a conference, and all this - anywhere in the world.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure the laptop camera is installed and configured properly. In particular, you need to download the correct drivers and install a special program, otherwise you will not be able to take a photo from the laptop's webcam. Usually, the standard device management application is automatically installed with the driver package, but you can download an additional program from among commercial or free ones, which makes it much more convenient to take pictures with a webcam. Among them are OrbiCam, Crystal Eye, Life Frame and others. To avoid mistakes and download an application compatible with your camera, search for the laptop model name.
Step 2
Open the installed program if you want to take a photo from your webcam. This can be done in several ways, for example, by clicking on the corresponding icon on the taskbar or by opening the application through the Start menu. You can also press the Fn function key and the camera icon button on the keyboard at the same time. To set a more convenient combination, use the suggested application or keyboard settings in the "Control Panel" of the operating system.
Step 3
Set the appropriate image parameters through the program menu before taking a photo with the laptop webcam. Usually, users can adjust the brightness, contrast and color rendition of the picture. Alternatively, you can add one of the portrait frames to your image, as well as a fun collage. Select the folder on the hard disk where the photos taken by the laptop camera will be saved, the settings for the current date and time.
Step 4
Tap the camera button, usually located in the center at the bottom of the app, to instantly take a photo. The captured photos will be available for preview and editing in the program itself and in the folder where they were saved.
Step 5
In addition to taking pictures, the laptop's webcam allows you to shoot videos when you press the corresponding key in the application. Here you can preset the quality and color rendition of the camera image, which will later be applied during video calls and other operations.
