Step 1
Since it is impossible to delete an account on the Steam system, please use the function of blocking it. This is done from the profile menu on the site.

To block it, you need to have access to your account and the mailbox that you specified during registration. Also, account blocking occurs by administrators in case of violations of the terms of use of the system. The reason for deleting an account may be the fact of selling an account, phishing attacks, theft of someone else's accounts, their joint use by several people, detection of violations during registration of gifts, hacking and piracy, fraud with bank cards, and so on. Step 3
If your account is not blocked for any reason, contact one of the technical support staff for information on this topic. After blocking, you will no longer be able to purchase licenses for computer games and other services provided by the service, but your account will remain in the Steam database.
Step 4
If you simply do not intend to continue using the services provided by the Steam service, simply leave your account unchanged. It is quite possible that you will need it in the future.
Step 5
Do not sell your account, as this is prohibited by the terms of service and, in addition to blocking the account, may entail other consequences in accordance with the rules.
Step 6
You can also purchase a license for other users on your own using an account, but sharing an account by two or more people is prohibited and may also entail certain negative consequences.
