And small children cannot be kept from the temptation to click on the buttons of the system unit or keyboard. In order to avoid disastrous consequences, it is necessary to block the computer from the child.
Instructions
Step 1
Lock the computer's power button. Go to the menu "start - control panel - power supply". When you click the "Advanced" button, in the "When you press the power button" drop-down list, select "No action required" Click the Apply button.
Step 2
Create an individual password for the user account. Go to the "Start - Control Panel - User Accounts" menu. Find your account in the lists and click on the icon. Select "create password" from the suggested operations. In the tab that opens, enter the password that the child cannot guess. Enter confirmation. Click the create password button.
Step 3
In order to lock the computer from the child, find the key with the Windows logo on the keyboard and hold it down and press the L key. As a result, the system will be logged out, but all work programs and applications will remain in the same state. To log into the system, enter the password in the window that appears in the center of the desktop.
Step 4
Install "Parental Controls". Open the Parental Controls app. To do this, in the "start" menu, select "control panel" - "parental control". In the window that opens, find "create a new account" and confirm the creation. Click on the child's account icon and follow the "User Management Tools" link. To restrict access to all games at once in the "can … username … run games?" Set the switch to the "yes" button.

If you want to allow access only to games of a given age category in the area "Games with what rating can … username …?" select the one you need and click on it.
Step 6
To restrict a child's access to specific programs, select User Controls - Allow and Block Specific Programs. Then switch to the option "username … can only work with permitted programs." Follow the instructions to select the programs you want to block.
Step 7
To limit the time the child can use the computer, go to the "Time Limits" window. The display will show a table where the days of the week are divided by hours. Click on the selected time period to block it. Unlocking is done in the same way.
