And this is very useful information, because when adding new devices to the computer's configuration, it is necessary to know the power supply capacity.

Step 1
Look at the technical documentation of the computer, in which the configuration parameters must be prescribed, indicating the device models. Also, the specification can go separately for each piece of equipment.

If for some reason you cannot see the documentation of your computer, use an alternative option. Arm yourself with a screwdriver or screwdriver and unscrew the bolts holding the side walls of the case.

Carefully examine the contents of the system unit, find the power supply. It is located on the right side of the back wall of the case in the form of a large box with loops extending from it.

Carefully examine the power supply, it should contain stickers containing information about the manufacturer, model, and the main parameters of the device. Usually, such stickers are glued so that it is convenient for the user to read the information, but sometimes it also happens that they are placed on the bottom or top side.

In this case, disconnect all power wires from the devices inside the computer, carefully holding them by the bases, while making a preliminary sketch of the diagram for connecting the power wires to the motherboard. Unscrew all fasteners securing the power supply and slide it out of the chassis.

Open it, the system will collect hardware configuration information and provide it to you after a certain amount of time. In fact, the drivers are not installed on the power supply, so it will be almost impossible to find out its parameters in this way, however, it is worth trying.
