Nowadays, visual communication via the Internet through a webcam is gaining more and more popularity. There are already quite a few laptop models that have a built-in camera. But some users have problems when setting up this device. To enable the built-in camera on your laptop, follow these steps.

Step 1
From the "Start" menu enter the program designed to control the camera. It is usually included in the software bundle of any laptop that has a built-in camera.
If there is no such program, then use the CD that is included with the laptop.
If the camera works normally in this program, then it is correctly configured, and there should be no problems with it.
Step 2
There is often a key on your laptop keyboard that you can use to turn on the camera, so take a close look at the keyboard. Usually, their icon indicates the purpose of the function keys.
If you can't find the key, see the documentation that came with your laptop. Such documentation is available electronically on CD. You can also read the necessary information on the manufacturer's website.
Step 3
Update the camera drivers, which are also included on the CD. If you need a newer version, you can use the manufacturer's website.
Step 4
Perhaps the camera is just disabled in the BIOS. Start the system and enter the BIOS, find the camera setting (usually there is the word Cam) and change its value from Disabled to Enabled. Now start the system again, the camera should turn on. If, after carrying out the above actions, the camera was still turned on, then most likely the case is in the camera itself, it is faulty. In this case, you should contact the service center, it is likely that the camera just needs to be replaced.
