Like any media file, video can be of various sizes, depending on its quality, duration, and some other parameters. There are several ways to make your video weigh less.

Step 1
To get started, download and install a special software that is able to convert video, resize images and bitrate. For example, the free Any Video Converter program, which can be downloaded from the official website at the link: https://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/. Install this program on your computer and run it

Select the video you want to reduce the size of. You can upload a video to Any Video Converter using the "Add Video" button located in the upper left corner of the program window. After clicking this button, the Explorer window will open, in which you will need to specify the path to the video. In order for the video to weigh less, it must be converted to another format. Find out in what format the source video is encrypted (you can do this by looking at the properties of the video directly in the program), then select the final format for your video. The program presets several settings for the final video format, for example, by pressing one button, you can select a format for the Internet, a normal video format for viewing on a computer or media player, or a format that assumes recording on a DVD disc. After selecting the format, click "Encode", having previously set the folder in which the converted file will be saved.
Step 3
To reduce the "weight" of the video file, it is not necessary to convert it. The format can be left as it was by setting the video options in the program settings in the lower right corner, changing its resolution, bitrate and frame rate downwards. The same can be done with the audio track of the clip. After that, in the same way, select the folder to save and click "Encode". The original file will have a smaller picture size and video quality, while still being viewable on weaker devices with a smaller screen size.
