A server is a computer that is installed in a special room called a data center, and is also connected to the power supply and the Internet around the clock. Datacenters charge a fee for hosting servers. Each data center has its own name, for example - Selectel, Dataline. Depending on the conditions of the data center, servers of any capacity can be installed in it.

Instructions
Step 1
Register on the datacenter website or enter your profile. Find a service called "Colocation"; this service may also be called Server Placement or Equipment Placement.
Step 2
Click the "Order" button at the top. Then, opposite the "Server placement" on the page that opens, click "Order" again. A page with characteristics of the resources available for hire will appear. Click the "Add to cart" button at the bottom of the page.
Step 3
Wait for a call or letter from the manager responsible for server placement. If you are sending the server by courier, then the courier must have a passport (this is a mandatory measure, otherwise it will simply not be allowed through). If you deliver the server yourself, then you should already have your passport.
Step 4
Give the server to the datacenter team. She will install the server in the rack, supply power. After installation, perform all necessary hardware tests. Next, you will need to install the operating system and configure the server software.
