Settings problem

In order to check the correctness of the microphone settings in Skype, you will need to go to "Tools" - "Settings". Then open the "Sound Settings" option. At the very top is the microphone setting. You should have written Microphone - Microphone…. (the name of the microphone should be written instead of dots). If you have it written "Stereo Mixer" or something else, then you will need to select exactly the setting with the name of your microphone. Otherwise, the interlocutor will not hear you.
If your computer is running Windows 7, check the microphone settings on your PC. To do this, you will need to find an icon resembling speakers in the quick launch bar. Then you will need to double-click on it with the left mouse button and click on the speaker image in the pop-up window. After that, a new window will open, in which there will be several items "General", "Levels", "Improvements" and "Advanced". You will need to go to the "Levels" section and check the states of the microphone. It may well be that the microphone will be turned off (this will be indicated by the crossed out speaker icon). To turn on the microphone, you will need to click on this icon once.
