The processor is the brain of the computer, its main chip, which does most of the computation. The performance of the computer depends on the speed of the processor. Speed is defined as the maximum number of calculations a processor can perform in one second, expressed in GHz (gigahertz) or MHz (megahertz). Therefore, the larger this value, the more powerful the processor.
