Sometimes it becomes necessary to find out what the user is doing at the computer. This can be done in different ways. It all depends on whether you are interested in everything, or in some specific actions (pages to which he goes on the Internet, correspondence on ICQ or launching certain programs).

Instructions
Step 1
The easiest and surest way to find out everything that happens at the computer is to install any keylogger. This is a program that monitors all actions (including correspondence in all clients) and even takes screenshots at specified time intervals. To do this, you need to install the program on your computer. In the settings, set the necessary parameters, hide from the user and protect with a password (then even if they find out about the installation, they will not be able to delete or block). Most often, keyloggers are paid.
Step 2
If you need to find the deleted history in the browser, then you can do it in the following way. Install one of the data recovery software - for example, DiscDigger, Recuva, Handy Recovery or Easy File Undelete, then launch it and find the Places.sqlite file. This will be the deleted browser history.
Step 3
If you need to find out the history of correspondence in various clients (ISQ, Qip, Skype, etc.), then find the folder of the desired program (most often it is located in the Program Files folder). In it, you will need to find the History folder and read the entire history. But this is only possible if the user does not delete it.
Step 4
If you need to find out what programs were launched on the computer, then this can be done very easily. Go to drive C, select the WINDOWS folder, then the Prefetch folder. The history of all open programs is displayed here. The folder is not hidden.
Step 5
You can use Punto Switcher to view the history of all typed characters entered on your computer. This program automatically switches the layout from Russian to English depending on what the user writes. This program also has a convenient function - keeping a diary. All typed characters are written there (in all programs). You can set a password on the diary, then only you can view it. It needs to be cleaned periodically.
Step 6
To find the desired page in the browser, you need to take the following steps. First, launch the browser itself. Then go to the Tools or Options menu (depending on the type of browser) and open the History item. Here you will see either all folders with the indication of days and weeks, or the entire history in chronological order from the most recent to the earliest. The dates, day of the week and the exact time of the visit will also be indicated here. Looking through the entire list in a row, you can find the page you need. And if you remember the date of your visit, you can go directly to the desired page. The history in the Mozilla Firefox browser is called the "Journal". It is located directly in the main menu of this browser. In the Opera browser, the tab is called "History". When viewing it, you can use the convenient search. In the Google Chrome browser, you can view your browsing history in the "History and recent tabs" menu item.
Step 7
If the user is interested in maintaining the privacy of Internet browsing, he can disable the saving of the browsing history in the browser settings. If you want to hide the history of a single visit to the site from other people, the easiest way is to check the Private browsing item in the File menu of the browser before starting to browse this site. In this case, the site will not be reflected in the browsing history.
Step 8
To view the history of working with documents in applications, you can use several methods. This will be possible only if the saving of the file open history has not been disabled. Many applications, for example, text, graphic editors save the history of working with documents. Usually at the very bottom of the File menu you can find a list of the most recently saved documents. The number of saved open files can be configured in the Program Options using the system capabilities of the computer. To do this, open the Start menu and go to Recent Documents. There you will find a list of files that have been worked on in the last days, except for cases when history saving is not set in the Start menu settings.
Step 9
Windows has a special log that stores the entire history of work on the computer. There you can see when the PC was turned on and off, what updates were installed and when, find crash histories, and so on. In order to get into this log, you need to open the Control Panel, in it go to the Administrative Tools folder and there 2 times click on the Event Viewer shortcut. This will take you to the PC history log where you can find the entries you are interested in.
Step 10
If your operating system does not provide an option to view all events, you can install third-party software for this purpose (for example, History Viewer).

If you want to control what actions are performed on your PC in your absence, you can install special software to monitor activity on your computer. Such programs are used, for example, for employers to control the work process of performers. These tracker programs keep track of the time spent at work. Some of them send a screenshot from the desktop screen to the client. Monitoring may also be required by parents who want to know what their child was doing at the computer, how much time he spent studying, and how much playing games and social networks, what sites he visited.
