The increasing incidence of threats to the security of computers from external intrusions forces users to use all possible methods of protection. One of these ways is to set the system back a day. To do this, it is enough to regularly create restore points - "snapshots" of the state of the system at the moment. According to them, at any time in the event of a danger, you can return the system back and avoid its complete reinstallation. System rollback restores corrupted registry settings, system files, services, services and other programs. In this case, all OS parameters are replaced with the previously saved data from the "snapshot" of the system. You can perform a system return using Windows itself.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the "Start" button menu and select "All Programs" -> "Accessories" -> "System Tools" -> "System Restore" there. A dialog box for working with system recovery or for creating new snapshot points will appear on the screen.
Step 2
To perform such operations, system administrator rights are required. Therefore, if you are running under an account that does not have administrative rights, you will be prompted for an administrator password. Before performing the actions to restore the system, enter the password in the input window that appears and click the "OK" button.
Step 3
Select the "System Restore" radio item in the recovery window. System rollback can only be performed if restore points have been previously created by the user. At the bottom of the window, click the "Next" button.
Step 4
The restore wizard will display a list of all existing return points. Select the point you need from the list, corresponding to the previous day of work. Click the Next button again.
Step 5
In the next window of the wizard, check the correctness of the point selection and start the system return process by clicking again on the "Next" button.
Step 6
The system will restore all its parameters in accordance with the data recorded the day before. Then the computer will automatically restart. After rebooting, a window will appear on the screen with information about the success of the recovery. Click the "OK" button in the window and continue working in the updated OS.
