The file systems of modern hard drives are designed in such a way that information is completely deleted from the medium only after overwriting certain sectors. This means that you can recover deleted files if the hard drive has not been used efficiently enough.
It is necessary
- - R-Studio;
- - Easy Recovery.
Instructions
Step 1
If the files you need to recover were deleted a long time ago, use R-Studio. Install this program on the disk partition from which data recovery will not be performed. This will increase the likelihood of successful completion of the procedure.
Step 2
Launch R-Studio and find the required hard drive partition in the Device / Disk column. Select it with the right mouse button and select Scan. Enter 0 in the Start field, and the size of this section in the Size field. Its value will be indicated in the Disk Size field.
Step 3
Be sure to specify the file system type of this local disk. Find the Scan View field and select Detailed. This will perform a deep scan of the hard disk sectors. After preparing the scan settings, click the Scan button.
Step 4
The analysis of the selected section can take several hours. The time taken usually depends on the size of the selected local disk. After completing the scan, click the Ok button.
Step 5
Now select the section to be processed with the left mouse button and press the F5 button. Wait for the list of found files to open. Check the boxes next to the folders or files that you want to recover. Find the Recover Marked button on the toolbar and click it.
Step 6
Select the directory where the specified data will be saved. Be sure to uncheck Skip files with bad sectors. This will allow the program to try to recover data from bad sectors.
Step 7
Click the Ok button and wait for the program to finish. If you were able to recover the files you need, but they turned out to be corrupted, install the Easy Recovery program.
Step 8
Run it and select File Restore. Specify the damaged files and start the recovery process.
