Typically, the debug key is used to run a program in debug mode, but sometimes it is also used to run games in a mode that allows you to use a variety of cheat codes. You can start the game with such a key in the Windows operating system in at least three ways - they are described below.
Instructions
Step 1
If the game is launched using a shortcut placed on the desktop, right-click it and select "Properties" from the pop-up context menu. On the "Shortcut" tab in the window that will open as a result of this action, click the "Object" field. Then press the End key to move the cursor to the very end of the line, enter a space and type the desired key (-debug). After that, click the "OK" button to save the shortcut with the changes made and start the game in the usual way - by double-clicking on this icon.
Step 2
Open the main menu on the "Start" button and select the "Run" item - in this way you will open the standard program launch window. This action corresponds to pressing the keyboard shortcut Win + R - you can use it as well. Then enter the full path to the executable file of the program in the window that opens. It is not necessary to type it manually, you can click the "Browse" button and find the executable file of the game on your computer disk. After that add the -debug switch separated by a space and click the "OK" button. The next time you start using this dialog, you will not need to retype the path and the key is not required - the entered string will be saved in the drop-down list, from where you can select it.
Step 3
Create a text file anywhere on your computer. You can do this on the desktop - right-click the background image, open the New section in the pop-up context menu and select the Text Document item. Enter in the first line of the document the full path to the executable file of the game - you can copy it in the program shortcut or in the address bar of Explorer. Add the -debug switch separated by a space and save the document with the bat extension. You need to start the game by double clicking on this file.
