Enabling USB debugging mode on Android mobile devices is usually required for rooting. This procedure is not difficult for an ordinary user and does not require the use of additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
In a mobile phone running Android, open the main menu of the device and go to the "Settings" item. Expand the Applications link and expand the Development node. Find the line "USB Debugging" and apply the checkbox to it.
Step 2
On an Android tablet device, you must first tap on the clock located at the bottom right of the screen. After that, click on the mobile device control icon located under the clock and open the "Settings" link in the menu that opens.
Step 3
Expand the Applications node in the drop-down submenu on the left side of the screen. Select the Development section in the next submenu and apply the checkbox in the USB Debugging row.
Step 4
To obtain root rights on a mobile device, download and install the dedicated SuperOneClick application on your computer. Please note that installing this application on Windows XP requires preinstalling NetFrameWork 2.0 or higher.
Step 5
Turn off USB debugging mode on the smartphone and connect the device to the desktop computer with the special USB cable supplied. Use the Root command in the main SuperOneClick application window and wait for the Waiting for Device message to appear.
Step 6
Re-enable USB debugging mode on the mobile device as described above and wait for the Starting ADB Server message to appear. Disable debug mode again and enable it a second time. Turn off the USB debugging function one last time. Please note that the last action must be performed before the next Waiting for Device message appears, otherwise the procedure for obtaining root access to the resources of the mobile device will have to be repeated.
