There are several things to keep in mind when reinstalling an operating system. There are several methods for accomplishing this task, the choice of which depends on the purpose of installing the new OS.

Instructions
Step 1
Please note that it is highly undesirable to perform the process of reinstalling the operating system without formatting the corresponding partition. This is especially true for Windows Seven, the protection system of which simply does not allow overwriting some files. Take care of the safety of important files in advance. Copy them from the system partition to another local drive.
Step 2
If your hard drive is not partitioned, then follow this process. Install Partition Manager and restart your computer. Run the utility and select the "Power User Mode" item. Left-click on the "Wizards" menu and select the "Create Section" option. In the window that opens, select a single disk partition and click the "Next" button.
Step 3
Now specify the following characteristics of the future local disk: size, file system type, volume label and drive letter. Activate the "Create as logical drive" function. Click the Next and Finish buttons. Open the "Changes" tab and select "Apply Changes".
Step 4
Insert the Windows installation disc into the drive and restart the computer. Press the F8 key when starting the PC. Choose the option to boot from DVD drive. Wait for the preliminary preparation of the installation files.
Step 5
Select the disk partition where the current copy of the operating system is installed. Be sure to format this local drive before installing the new OS. Wait until the first stage of loading the operating system is completed.
Step 6
After the first restart of the computer, adjust the future OS settings. Select the time zone, specify the options for the firewall. It is better to disable this feature at the initial stage of OS setup.
Step 7
Complete the installation of a new copy of the operating system. Update the drivers for specific hardware by downloading the required programs from the official websites of the manufacturers of these devices.
