Scaling the image on a computer monitor is done most often by switching resolution options. There are several such options in the operating system settings by default, and the user has the opportunity to replenish the list with his own values. This installation can be accessed differently in different versions of the operating system.
Instructions
Step 1
With Windows XP, the easiest way to get to the installation you want is to start by right-clicking on your desktop background. Among the list of commands in the drawn context menu there will be an item "Properties" - select it.
Step 2
The tab on the far right in the window that opens is called "Options" - go to this tab and in the lower left corner you will find an element that controls changing the screen resolution (slider). There is another option for accessing this tab of the display settings window. If you open the main menu, select the "Control Panel" item in it, click the "Appearance and Themes" link in the panel that opens, and select the "Change screen resolution" task, then this particular tab will open.
Step 3
Move the slider to the desired monitor resolution setting and click the "Apply" button. The operating system will scale the image for 15 seconds according to your choice, while displaying a dialog box with a timer. If the new scale suits you, then click the "Yes" button, and if not, just wait until the timer ends and the screen resolution will return to its original value to give you the opportunity to choose a different option.
Step 4
When using Windows Vista or Windows 7 in the context menu that appears when you right-click on the background image of the desktop, there is a line "Screen resolution" - select it. By this action you will launch the window of the operating system component, in which by clicking on the "Resolution" button a list of resolution options with a vertical slider will open. Move it, set the desired value, and then click the "Apply" button.
