Malfunctions in the Windows operating system can lead to the fact that it simply stops loading. For such a regular situation, several different solutions are provided.
Try starting your operating system in safe mode. To do this, hold down the F8 key after the hard disk boot starts. After a while, a menu will open, allowing you to select the option to continue booting the system. Move the cursor to the "Windows Safe Mode" item and press the Enter key. Select one of the proposed options in the menu that opens.
After starting Windows in the desired operating mode, open the Control Panel. Select the System and Security menu and open the Backup and Restore submenu. Go to "Restore system settings or computer". Click the Next button and review the list of suggested checkpoints.
Select the archive that suits you, having previously studied the list of programs to which changes will be made. Click the "Next" button and confirm the start of the system restore process.
Windows Vista and Seven operating systems have advanced troubleshooting. Try selecting Run Last Known Good Configuration from the Advanced Boot Options menu. Sometimes this allows you to automatically make the correct adjustments to the OS boot files.
Insert the system recovery disc (installation disc) into the DVD drive. Restart your computer and select the desired DVD-Rom to run the program from the disc. Open the Advanced Recovery Options menu. Find Startup Repair and open it. Run the utility and wait for the Windows boot files to update and fix.
Using the installation disc, you can access the restore checkpoints in the event that you were unable to start Windows in safe mode. To work with Windows XP, there are special discs that contain certain recovery programs.
