The Windows operating system can sometimes behave unstable, for example, it freezes at startup or does not start at all after turning on the computer. This can be due to a variety of reasons.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the nature of the problem. Windows should start loading a few seconds after turning on the computer. If it doesn't, take a look at the screen. Sometimes the problem may not be with the system, but with the BIOS (firmware installed on the motherboard) that is not configured correctly. If after turning on the screen remains dark and nothing happens, then this is most likely the problem.
Step 2
Check your motherboard user manual. Find out which key is responsible for entering BIOS settings and press it immediately after turning on the computer. In the menu that appears, select the item Load Optimized Defaults, press F10 and the Y key. This will restore the original settings, which may have been changed randomly.
Step 3
See if the system has started booting (a boot bar should appear). If this does not happen, restart your computer and press the F8 key several times in a row. The system boot menu will appear. Try running it by selecting the "Safe Mode" option. If the system boots, select "System Restore Center" from the main menu and roll back Windows to one of the restore points. Restart your computer normally.
Step 4
Use the Windows boot disk from which the system was installed on the computer. Insert it into the drive. In BIOS, select Boot from CD or DVD. Restart your computer and follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Ultimately, you will be taken to the system recovery menu. If the rollback does not help, then the only solution is to reinstall Windows from the boot disk. Remember that if you make it with the "Update" parameter, the data saved on the hard disk will not be affected.
