Often, to send files by mail or write to removable media, the data must be reduced by removing any attributes and archiving. The last of these points has many undeniable advantages in terms of the fact that with all the variety of settings for archiving programs, they are quite easy to use and do not require a lot of system resources.

archiver program
Instructions
Step 1
If you are archiving images, open each one in turn using Paint. Without making any manipulations with it, save them to the original directory, replacing the previous one. Check if the size of the archived files has decreased. Usually, this procedure removes unnecessary attributes from images, significantly reducing their size (often even halving).
Step 2
Open the WinRar archiver program. Using the menu of the browse button, add the necessary files to it. Specify the maximum compression method in the parameters. With it, the procedure for archiving data will take noticeably longer than under normal conditions, but the size of the resulting file will be much smaller. It will in no way damage your data or affect its quality.
Step 3
Repeat the previous operation. Place your archive in a folder specially created before. After the file is completely moved into it, right-click on it and select "Add to archive". Also specify the maximum compression method for your files.
Step 4
If the previous points were not enough, try splitting the archive into parts, while choosing the desired value, indicating it in bytes. It also lists some values separately for splitting and subsequent recording on media with limited memory, such as CDs. This is much more convenient because you don't have to back up the same files twice, because even with the maximum compression, this procedure will take a lot of time. Very often this method is used to upload large files in forums, where the size of attachments is limited.
Step 5
If you are going to burn an archive to disk, it is best to choose a slow recording, so that it is of the highest quality, and you would not have to waste time copying the archive in the future before extracting files from it.
