Sometimes programs download updates from the Internet on their own. Basically, this method is applicable to support operating systems and software, for example, to install security updates. Downloading patches takes less time than the initial installation of the program. this process does not install all files, but only a few of them. Updates downloaded from the Internet require more time. it is also needed to download them. To automatically download patches and install them, there are special utilities that create self-installing updates. They contain information about which programs should be launched after unpacking, and which files should be deleted. Such patches are a self-extracting archive. Careful users often turn off the automatic installation of patches in order to ensure the correct and stable operation of new products using other people's examples. To manually install a patch, install the necessary program or game. Next, on the shortcut that appears on the "Desktop", move the mouse cursor and press the right key. In the displayed window, click on "Properties" and go to the "Object" line, where the path to the program or game will be displayed. Then download the patch you need from the Internet or from another medium. When downloading it, in the window that appears, click on the "Browse" button and select the path to the program or game. Click on the "Extract" button - the patch will be installed in the desired location.
