Any program that performs the functions of an Internet browser (browser) automatically keeps a log of visited web resources. If necessary, the user can not only view the history of Internet surfing, but also, if desired, delete all log entries.
Instructions
Step 1
To clear the browsing history in Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu and select Internet Options. In the Browsing History section of the dialog box that opens, click the Delete button, then select the check boxes for each of the menu items and click Delete again.
Step 2
To perform the same procedure in the Opera Internet browser, press the "hotkeys" Ctrl + F12 and in the "Settings" dialog box go to the "Advanced" tab. Activate the "History" section by clicking the mouse and click once each of the two "Clear" buttons.
Step 3
To delete the history of the Mozilla Firefox browser, click the Firefox button, which is located in the upper left corner of the program window, and select the "Options" command. Open the "Privacy" section and follow the active link "Clear your recent history". Set the Clear command to All and click the Clear Now button.
Step 4
In the Google Chrome browser, you can delete the entire history of visits from the program settings menu, which opens by clicking on the icon with the image of a wrench (upper right corner of the browser window). Select the "Options" command, and in a new window open the "Advanced" section from the menu on the left. Click the Delete Browsing Data button.
Step 5
Apple Safari users can clear their browsing history from the General Preferences menu, which is invoked with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + B. In the Preferences dialog, go to the Privacy tab and click the Delete All Website Data button. Confirm your decision by clicking the "Remove now" button.
