Programs designed for the Java platform run on almost any mobile phone. They are stored in files with the JAR extension. The way they are installed in the phone depends on the model.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your mobile phone is equipped with the Java platform. This can be done by simply looking at its characteristics on the Internet. Basically, this platform is absent on very cheap devices, on Chinese phones, where Java is used together with the MRP platform, as well as on old smartphones running the Windows Mobile operating system.
Step 2
If you are using an unlimited tariff for Internet access, download the JAR file using the phone itself. It is best to use the Opera Mini or UCWEB browser for this, because then you can create a backup copy of the file in case you need to reinstall it.
Step 3
To search for JAR files, use only legitimate sources: official developer sites, as well as GetJar, GameJump and similar services.
Step 4
If the file is downloaded by the built-in browser of the phone, it will be automatically placed in the folder intended for such files. If you downloaded it with a third-party browser, move or copy it there using the device's file manager.
Step 5
If your phone has a removable memory card, use a card reader to place the file directly into the designated folder on the card, then move it back to the phone. Use the correct procedure to unmount the card on both your phone and your computer. You can guess in which folder the jAR files should be placed by its name, and in case of difficulty, learn it from the instructions.
Step 6
On phones based on Symbian platform, install java applications in the same way as you install programs designed specifically for this OS. After the file is downloaded by the built-in browser of the phone, its installation will start automatically. If you are using a third-party browser for this, place the file in the Others folder on the memory card. Place it there if you are using a card reader. Then find the file with the phone's built-in file manager or with FExplorer, Y-Browser, X-Plore or similar. Run it and the installation will begin. During installation, select the memory card as the storage location for the program. If you need to uninstall the program, use the phone's application manager for this. The backup copy of the file in the Others folder will not disappear.
