The jar file is used to install games and applications on the phone. In fact, it is an archive file that can be opened in the usual way. You can reduce its size by reducing the size of the content.
Necessary
graphics editor
Instructions
Step 1
Open the jar file using an archiving program installed on your computer, for example, WinRar. Choose to unpack the files into a separate directory. Open it in File Explorer and read the contents. Do not under any circumstances edit any files other than images, especially configuration files, you can simply break the program or game.
Step 2
Select an image among the files and change the quality or size of each one in a graphic editor. To do this, open it using the "File" menu command, and then select either reducing the image size or decreasing the quality parameters. Save your changes.
Step 3
Save pictures in the same format that they had originally. In order to enable the display of the extension, in the folder properties on the second tab, scroll the list almost to the end and uncheck the "Hide for registered file types" checkbox.
Step 4
Apply and save these changes, after which the file permissions will be visible to you. In no case change the names of the files that were previously contained in the archive, it is best to just save the changes, in any case, you always have an archived copy of the data in the original parameters.
Step 5
Build the jar file again. You may need the WinZip program to do this. Give it a jar extension. You can do the same with regular WinRar, but the result is always better after using WinZip.
Step 6
Please note that these manipulations do not guarantee a significant reduction in the archive, as well as the fact that the game simply will not start. The best option would be to free up memory on your phone by deleting unused or unnecessary files. It is also possible to use additional memory modules for most modern phones.
