Small dots of color may appear on computer monitors that persist when changing images. These are dead pixels, also called "stuck" or "stuck" because they are formed when a sub-pixel is stuck in one position. You can try to fix such a defect yourself at home.

Step 1
Try to restore pixels on the monitor screen using special programs. The software method must be used first of all, since it is completely safe and highly efficient. The screen image is composed of pixels, which include three color sub-pixels: blue, red and green. In modern LCD monitors, each pixel is driven by a separate TFT. If the transistor malfunctions, an inactive dot appears on the computer screen - a broken pixel.
Step 2
Search the Internet for one of the programs that correct the operation of thin-film transistors. You can use the JScreenFix Deluxe online application, which runs directly from the developers site. Download https://www.jscreenfix.com/basic.php and click on the Launch button. A flickering rectangle will appear, which must be moved to the area of the screen with dead pixels. In 20 minutes of operation, the application normalizes the functioning of up to 80% of the "stuck" pixels.
Step 3
Use a mechanical method to eliminate dead pixels if the use of specialized programs has not yielded results. Remember that mechanical action on the screen must be done with extreme caution. If you are not confident in your abilities, seek help from a specialist.
Step 4
If you decide to fix the "stuck" pixels yourself, cover the monitor with a thick cloth or paper towel folded several times so as not to scratch the screen. Take an object with a thin, but not too sharp tip - a stylus from a PDA or smartphone is perfect for this purpose.
Step 5
Put the tip of the stylus on exactly the dead pixel. Try not to touch the undamaged areas of the screen. Without removing your hand, unplug the monitor and lightly apply pressure to the screen. Without stopping the pressure, turn on the monitor and remove the stylus and tissue. The dead pixel should disappear. If this does not happen, carefully repeat the operation several more times, carefully varying the pressure and the location of the stylus.
