To prevent overheating and subsequent damage to individual parts of the computer, it is necessary to increase the fan speed or replace this device with a more powerful analogue. In any case, first try to solve the problem programmatically.
Necessary
- - AMD OverDrive;
- - SpeedFan.
Instructions
Step 1
If this computer has an AMD CPU, visit www.ati.com and download AMD OverDrive from there. Install the downloaded application and restart your computer
Step 2
Start AMD OverDrive. Wait for the scan of your computer to complete. Now go to the Fan Control menu located in the left column of the program's working window. Use the sliders to increase the rotation speed of the desired fan. Click the Apply button to apply the changes.
Step 3
Now open the Preferences menu located in the upper left corner of the main program window. Go to Settings. Find the Apply my last settings when system boots option and check the box next to it. Close the program.
Step 4
If your computer has an Intel processor, use the SpeedFan program. Download and install this utility. Start SpeedFan and open the Configure menu. Now select the Options tab and select Russian from the Language menu.
Step 5
Return to the "Metrics" tab. The central part of the window that opens will contain information about the fans and the devices to which they are attached. Below are the numbers of the fans and their speed in percent. If you need to change the rotation speed of one or more fans, press the Up arrow several times.
Step 6
Now wait for a while and make sure that the temperature of the video card to which the selected fan is attached has dropped to normal. Run any application that will consume a large amount of graphics card resources.
Step 7
After about 10-20 minutes, close the program and open SpeedFan. Make sure the temperature is within the acceptable range. Otherwise, replace the cooler of the video card with a more powerful analogue.
