Step 1
If you have an ATI Radeon graphics card, you can increase the rotational speed of the graphics card cooler using the Catalyst Control Center. This software is included on the video card driver disc. It can also be downloaded from the official website of the company. It is best to download the latest version of this program. Install this application on your computer. Reboot.
Step 2
After rebooting, click on an empty area of the desktop with the right mouse button. Next, in the menu that appears, select Catalyst Control Center. In the window that opens, check the "Advanced" item, then click "Next". Now, in the window that appears, left-click on the arrow located in the upper left corner of the program window and select ATI Overdrive.
Step 3
In the window that appears, left-click on the image of the castle. This will unlock the ability to work with this Catalyst Control Center item. Then check the box next to the line "Allow manual fan control" and click "Apply". Now by moving the slider to the right, you can increase the rotational speed of the cooler. When the desired speed is selected, click "Apply" and then OK.
Step 4
Owners of nVidia graphics cards can use RivaTuner to increase the fan speed of their graphics cards. Download this utility from the Internet and install. Run the program. After launching the application, you will be taken to the main menu, which will contain the name of your video card. There is an arrow next to the name. Click on it. Then select Low Level System Preferences. In the window that appears, select the "Cooler" tab. Next, check the box "Enable low-level cooler control". Now by moving the slider to the right, you increase the rotational speed of the video card fan. Select the speed mode you need, then click "Apply" and OK.
