The temperature of a computer refers to the temperature of the elements that make up it. As a rule, this is a processor, video card and hard drive. The temperature of the computer elements directly affects the performance, so it is very useful to monitor the overheating indicators. In addition, constant overheating of components is a sign of malfunctions and an imminent failure of the PC.
Instructions
Step 1
Select a special program. Sometimes, but not always, information about the processor temperature is available through the BIOS. But in order not to constantly reboot the system, it is easier to install a third-party analyzer program. Among the leaders, the software called AIDA64 stands out. Fortunately, although the program is paid, it provides for a free use period of 30 days.
Step 2
Install the program on your computer. You can download this software from the official website. As in the case with any other software for Windows, the downloaded package must be launched and, following the instructions, installed in the desired location on the computer.
Step 3
After completing the installation process, you need to open the program and go to the "Computer" item. AIDA64 software is a universal monitor with which you can find out a large amount of information about the system. But since you need to know the temperature of the computer, you should find the "Sensors" menu. In the second menu from the top there is a submenu, in which data on the temperature of the system core, processor, video adapter and hard disk are available.
Step 4
If the system has two cores (dual-core processor), then the temperature values in the AIDA64 program tab will be shown for each separately. By default, temperatures are shown immediately in Fahrenheit and Celsius. Values have been rounded to whole numbers. This is primarily due to a high degree of error.
