General recommendations
Users are advised to remove the navigation area when the monitor screen has a low resolution, which reduces the visibility of folders. This is due to the fact that at a low value of the screen resolution all elements are reflected on it more than at a high resolution, therefore, there are fewer elements per unit of screen area. By removing the navigation bar, the user frees up additional space in the viewport for various items such as files, folders, picture thumbnails, etc.
If you want to increase the viewport in windows, the user does not need to remove the navigation bar completely. It is enough to move the mouse cursor over the right border of the transition area until a double-sided arrow appears and, while holding down the left mouse button, drag the wire border all the way to the right.
You can access the Navigation Pane display settings from any currently open folder. The display settings and the user-defined size of the navigation area are remembered by the system. And in the future, all Explorer settings will be used in all newly opened folders.
In order for the navigation bar (navigation area) to be displayed again, go to the "Arrange" list in the upper left corner of any open folder, hover over the "View" line and check the box next to the "Navigation area" line by left-clicking on it. once. The explorer pane will appear on the left side of the window and will be present in all open windows.
