We, as PC users, sometimes need to transfer information from one computer to another using various media. There are several types of them: flash cards, CDs and DVDs. They all differ from each other in the volume and methods of recording information. In addition, CD and DVD discs are also divided into R +, R- and RW. Discs R + and R- are disposable. But an RW disc can be burned multiple times. To write information to any disc, it is best to use special programs that are easy to find on the Internet. But you can burn a CD without a special program using Windows tools.

Necessary

A drive that has a CD burning function

Instructions

Step 1

Not all drives are capable of burning CDs. There are those who only read information. You can find out if your drive can write by reading its specifications in the documents. If everything is fine, insert a blank disc into the drive.

Step 2

Then we find the file we need on the computer and select it. Right-click and in the drop-down menu, select "Copy". The file was copied to the clipboard.

Step 3

Next, we open your disc for recording. To do this, open My Computer. Find the required disk in the Devices with removable media field. We open it and see that the disk is completely empty. Right-click on the white field, select "Paste" in the drop-down menu. We wait for a while and see the file, which is now visible on the disk. But it has been posted as a temporary file for now. The file is not physically on disk yet. If at this point you remove the disc and then insert it back, it will be empty again. Therefore, we continue recording.

Step 4

Right-click in the box next to the file. In the menu that appears, select the Burn files to CD item. The "CD Writer Wizard" window will appear. In the "CD Name" field, you can type a title, but this is optional. Click the "Next" button and wait. When the disc is burned, a window will appear with the "Finish" button, press it. The disc is burned. Now you can view all the recorded information on any computer.
