Instructions

Step 1

You can use various programs to create your own disc images. If you prefer to work with free applications, then download and install the Daemon Tools program. You can download the installation files from the official website of the developers of this utility https://www.daemon-tools.cc/rus/downloads. The Lite version is sufficient for performing the simplest operations with disks.

Step 2

Run the downloaded exe-file and install the program following the step-by-step menu. Select the Free License option and uncheck the extra checkboxes to prevent plugins from being installed in the browser. Restart your computer after completing the installation of the required files.

Step 3

Run the Daemon Tools program and wait for the utility to automatically integrate into the system. Insert the disc you want to image into the DVD drive tray. Wait for the new device to be detected.

Step 4

Right-click on the Daemon Tools icon. In the menu that appears, select the "Create image" function. Wait for the new window to appear. Select the required drive in the "Drive" field. Set the reading speed. If the disc is not scratched, use the maximum value.

Step 5

Select the folder where the future ISO file will be saved by changing its value in the "Output file" field. Uncheck the "Compress data" checkbox. Check the box next to the option "Delete image on error." If you want to protect the data on the disk, check the box next to the "Password for image encryption" item and enter the identical password twice.

Step 6

Click the "Start" button and wait for the image creation process to complete. Verify that the ISO file is working by opening it with the Daemon Tools program.
