Many PC users are already familiar with how to burn information to DVDs and CDs using special programs. But today, alas, not everyone knows how to delete records on disks. This information is useful if you are going to use the "old" media for new recordings.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the most famous disc burning program - Nero. Any version will do. The main window will appear in front of you, where you should select the "Add-ons" category. Next, run the "Erase CD" or "Erase DVD" task, depending on the type of physical media that you plan to erase.
Step 2
In the new "Erase Rewritable Disc" window, use the arrow to select the recording device and the cleaning method to use. In total, you will be offered two ways. The first is a complete erase of a rewritable disc, which permanently erases all data. The second is to quickly erase the RW disc. In this case, the disk will appear empty, but the data stored on it will not be deleted. Having decided on the method, click the "Erase" button. The program will clean the disk from the information it contains.
Step 3
It is not necessary to use Nero software, as you can delete recordings in discs using many similar programs: NTI Wave Editor, Power Producer, Small CD Writer, Deep Burner Free and others. It is also possible to erase a disk in the Windows operating system itself. It is necessary in the folder "My Computer" to right-click on the icon of this disk, and select the command "Erase this disk".
