In modern times, computer games are released in huge numbers. But a better plot, graphic design can be achieved with the help of add-ons that are released by official manufacturers.

Step 1
The most common first-person game is Counter-Strike 1.6. There are many additions for this game, for example, an improved type of combat weapons, new models ("skins") of players, unusual sound effects and an improved look of the main menu. Download the desired update from the Internet, which is distributed free of charge. Go to "My Computer". Find the root folder of the game. Most often, the default location is the local "C" drive, the Proram Files folder.
Step 2
Unpack the archive to any location. If there is a Setup file, then install the application in unattended mode.
Step 3
For add-ons that do not have an automatic installation function, unpack the archive using Winrar. Highlight the contents of the folder. Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C to copy the files. Go to the cstrike folder and use the Ctrl + V combination to paste the files. Reboot the system for the add-on to work properly.
Step 4
To install the Sims 3 add-on, download the Sims3Pack file and Microsoft. NET Framework 3.5.
Step 5
Move the Sims3Pack file to the Downloads folder, which is located in My Documents by default. Launch the Sims3Launcher software found in the root folder of the game. Click on the "Downloads" tab. You will see a list of possible additions. Check the box next to the required functions. Then click the "Install" button. After completing this operation, restart the operating system for all additions to take effect.
Step 6
For the computer game Stronhold, there are many additions, for example, new maps. Download the add-on file from the official site. Open the shortcut "My Computer", navigate to the root folder of the game. Paste the add-on file into the "Maps" section.
