With the use of modern technology, recording video on a PC is a fairly straightforward task. The most important thing is to decide what kind of video you need to record, in what format, what tools will be needed in this case. Also, do not neglect what hardware resources a personal computer has. Here are the steps, and in what order, to record a video.

a video playback device with an IEEE-1394 interface or conventional video output, a personal computer with appropriate interfaces (the IEEE-1394 interface is the most common), software for capturing video and then saving it to a hard disk
Instructions
Step 1
Before starting the recording process, you must connect the playback device to your PC. Such a device can be any video recording / reproducing device.
Step 2
After connection, if necessary, you need to install the appropriate software, for example, drivers for the connected device, a program for video and audio capture.
Step 3
Set a marker in the playback device to the start of playback. Enable and configure the video capture program accordingly, i.e. specify in which format the video will be saved to the PC memory, select the device from which the video signal will be captured, etc. Different programs have different settings, so only those that are most important are indicated.
Step 4
Start the video capture process, such as starting playback on the playback device and initiating the capture process. Wait until the video is fully captured, stop capturing video.
