There are many programs installed on a computer, which can be difficult to understand. Sometimes they need to be reinstalled or removed as unnecessary, but to do this, you first need to find the program you need.
The cherished "Start" button
To find a program, first take a close look at your computer desktop. As a rule, most programs, when installed, automatically create a shortcut on the desktop or in the lower control panel by default. Therefore, a program icon can also be found on the control panel. It will be enough for you to click on the shortcut to launch this or that application.
You can also find a program using the "Start" button. Click it, and a drop-down window will display a list with the programs that you use most often. If you do not see the required application in this list, click the "All programs" button, and then a detailed list of all programs installed on the computer will open in the drop-down window.
By clicking on the icon next to the application, you can launch it or open its additional sections, such as installation, help, and others.
Search programs
You can also go to the list of programs in another way. But for it, you also need to first click the "Start" button, after which in the window that opens, you will need to find the "Control Panel" section and, by clicking on this inscription, go to it.
Next, you need to find the item "Programs and Features" and click on the link to go to the list of installed programs. This list will be presented in the left part of the new window in the form of a table, where the name of the program, its publisher, size, version and installation date are indicated in alphabetical order.
Moving the mouse cursor over the program, right-click and select the action to be performed in relation to the selected program. You can change, delete or restore it.
Without leaving this menu, you can view the installed updates on your computer. To do this, in the right part of the working window, find the inscription "View installed updates." Click it, and after that a list will open in which you can select one or another update and perform a number of operations with it, including deleting it from your computer.
If you go to the "Control Panel" section (in the Windows operating system) you cannot immediately find the "Programs and Features" section. Use the search function. To do this, in the window that opens in the upper right corner, find the line with the words "Search in the control panel". Enter your keyword (in this case, "programs") and go to the page with the results found. As a rule, the search query will be presented first in the found list. You just have to select the option you want and go to the section with the installed programs.
