Today, there are various programs that allow you to quickly check the load of programs on ports: Nirsoft Curr Ports, Sys Internals Process, etc. Most of these programs are distributed for money, which is not always suitable for personal computer users. Step 1
To run this program, click the Start menu and select Run. In the window that opens, enter netstat with the parameter "/?" (entered without quotes). The window will display all the parameters with which this program can be launched. Among all the options listed, you may need the "-a" (display all connections at the moment) and "-o" (display the usage ID of each connection, the so-called Process ID). Also, the "–n" parameter may seem quite interesting. It instructs the program to show real IP addresses instead of network aliases.
Step 2
So, to identify a specific process that wastes network traffic, enter this value: Netstat –ao. Now look at the results of our query, find the process ID. Knowing the identifier, it can be easily calculated. Enter the following line: tasklist | find "identifier number" and press Enter. In all the examples listed here, you must remove the quotes. In the request tasklist | find do not remove quotes. The result of the work done in the program will be to obtain the desired process.
Step 3
You don't have to use the tasklist command. Open the "Task Manager" by pressing Ctrl + alt="Image" + Del or Ctrl + Shift + Esc and go to the "Processes" tab. Click the View menu, select Select Process Page Columns and check the box next to PID Process ID. Now in the "Task Manager" there is a column PID, which can be used to determine the name of the process.
