Step 1
BIOS settings are contained in CMOS memory (low-speed, battery-powered memory). In order to clear CMOS, you need to turn off the computer and install a jumper - it will close the jumper contacts.
Step 2
Turn on your PC - it won't boot, but the CMOS settings will be knocked out.
Step 3
Remove the jumper and turn on the computer again. On your monitor, you will see an announcement asking you to press F1 to perform a new BIOS setup.
Step 4
If you are quite satisfied with the default settings - then press F1, in the BIOS menu, click on the "Save and exit" option. After that, your computer will boot completely. If you have special wishes - set your own settings and after that select the "Save and exit" option.
