Applying the factory settings of the mobile computer allows you to correct errors associated with incorrect configuration of this device. This procedure is carried out programmatically or mechanically.

Instructions
Step 1
First, try performing a factory reset using the BIOS menu functions. Turn on the mobile computer and press the key required to display the additional options menu. Usually you need to press Esc, F2 or F12. Function key information is displayed at the bottom of the screen while the notebook is booting up.
Step 2
After entering the boot menu, select BIOS and press the Enter key. In the start window of the launched menu, select the Use Default Settings item. In some models of mobile computers, it may be called Set Default or BIOS Reset.
Step 3
Press the Enter key. When the warning window appears, press Y. Now go to Save & Exit. Press Enter again and wait for the laptop to restart.
Step 4
In some situations, misconfiguration of the settings will cause the mobile PC to automatically turn off or not turn on at all. In such cases, it is necessary to perform a mechanical reset. Prepare a set of tools required to open the laptop.
Step 5
Remove the screws holding the underside of the case. Remove the hard drive, DVD drive, and RAM modules. Carefully remove the cover after disconnecting some of the cables. It is best to use tweezers or narrow-nose pliers for this.
Step 6
Locate the CMOS Reset button. It is sometimes called BIOS Default. Press it and hold it in this position for a few seconds. If the button described is missing, try removing the washer battery from the slot.
Step 7
Then close the bare contacts with a screwdriver or tweezers. Assemble the mobile computer case. Be sure to connect the cables to the correct connectors. Connect all extracted items. Turn on the laptop and check if it works.
