In window mode, the application is launched not in full screen, but in the form of a small frame on the desktop. In some cases, this mode of operation may be preferable. You can display a program in a window using both its interface and system methods.
Instructions
Step 1
Use the simplest and most accessible way - press the key combination alt="Image" + Enter. By default, these keys put any application in windowed mode, but some resource-intensive programs and games may not respond to this combination.
Step 2
Start windowed mode programmatically by the application itself. For example, in games such a setting is usually available in the main menu and is called FullScreen Mode, "Windowed mode", "Run in window", etc. After changing the settings, the game window will automatically resize to the specified size on the desktop.
Step 3
Try pressing the Windows icon key on your keyboard while a full-screen application is running. In some cases, the function keys appear at the top of the screen - "Minimize", "Switch to windowed mode" and "Close". Select the appropriate function. Also try to click on the upper field of the program several times, and after that the function keys will appear.
Step 4
Take advantage of the ability to change the parameters of the executable file In some cases, adding a special operator window will activate windowed mode. To do this, right-click on the shortcut of the game or program and select "Properties".
Step 5
Go to the "Object" floor in the window that opens and supplement it with the "-window" operator without quotes, leaving one space behind the file extension. Apply the selected settings and try running the program.
Step 6
Contact the application developers if you were unable to activate windowed mode yourself. In some cases, this function is simply not available. Explain that you are uncomfortable with running a program in full screen and need to be able to run it in window mode. The developers can take into account your wishes and update the game, fixing the existing flaw.
