There can be various reasons for hiding one or more partitions on a hard drive. Some people just get bored with the unnecessary partition icon in the My Computer menu, while others want to hide it from prying eyes.

Step 1
Try to hide the selected partition using the Windows command line. Open the "Start" menu and click on the "Run" item or just press the Win and R keys. Enter the cmd command in the window that appears and press the Enter key. Type the command diskpart and press Enter again.
Step 2
Enter the line list volume. A list of existing hard drive partitions will be displayed in the working window of the program. The drive letter will be opposite the drive number. Select the required disk by entering the select volume 2 command (the number is the partition number). Now type remove letter D. In this case, D is the letter assigned by the system to the second partition. The hidden drive will no longer be displayed after restarting the computer.

If this method is too complicated for you, then open the control panel and go to the "System and Security" menu. Open "Computer Management". It is located in the Administration menu. Go to the "Disk Management" line.
Step 4
Right-click on the desired partition of the hard drive. Select Change Drive Letter. In the menu that opens, click the "Delete" button and confirm the execution of this procedure. Reboot your computer.

If you do not have access to this function, then install the Partition Manager program. Run it and select "Advanced User Mode". Wait for a new window to open. Right-click on the desired local drive and select "Hide Partition". Click the "Yes" button in the window that appears. Now open the Changes menu and activate the new hard disk settings. You can also use programs such as Acronis Disk Director, HideFolder and WinGuard.

There are a lot of options for hiding the hard drive partition. Choose the one that is most convenient for you. It should be noted that disks hidden in the first two ways can be displayed in some programs, for example, Total Commander.
