A gap is the part of a free margin that lies between two pages. Page break is used to highlight each page. If there are breaks in a word processing document, you can easily determine where one page ends and the next page begins. A break can be placed not only between pages, the MS Word text editor allows you to create sections even between paragraphs - this is convenient when printing ads. You can remove gaps in a couple of clicks.

Instructions

Step 1

Despite the seriousness of the problem that has arisen, there are no special commands for removing gaps. But removing them is not difficult. Click the "Non-printable characters" button on the standard editor panel. If the gap was not visible to you, after clicking on this button it should appear. Just select it with the left mouse button, then press the Delete button or right-click and select "Cut".

Step 2

Symbols that often accompany hidden breaks can be removed using the Delete key. Place the cursor in front of the section break character, then the Delete button. If you accidentally delete any character that comes before a break character, you may lose all text formatting. Sometimes text formatting takes a lot of time, which breaks in the blink of an eye. But you shouldn't worry about this. If you encounter such a situation, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Z. This key will perform the "Undo Last Action" action. This operation can be performed through the "Edit" menu, the "Undo input" item.

Step 3

You can also delete a section break by pressing the Backspace key, if you first place the cursor after the break, or by selecting the entire break with the left mouse button. The best view for discovering hidden sections is Normal View. You can activate it by clicking on the "View" menu by selecting the "Normal" item.
