Step 1

Click the "Start" button to enter the main system menu and go to "All Programs" to disable the possibility of pop-up windows. This operation may only be necessary if you have previously disabled the default pop-up blocker.

Step 2

Open Internet Explorer and select Pop-up Blocker from the Application window's Tools menu.

Step 3

Select Enable Pop-up Blocker or Disable Pop-up Blocker in the dialog box that appears and click OK. Another way to control this control is by using the Internet Options window.

Return to the main Start menu and go to All Programs.

Open Internet Explorer and select the "Internet Options" command from the "Tools" menu of the program window.

Click the Privacy tab and check the Block Pop-ups box to disable display, or uncheck this box to enable display.

Select Pop-up Blocker Options under Pop-up Blocker in the Internet Explorer Tools menu.

Enter a website address in the Allowed Website Address field to allow pop-up windows from the selected website and click the Add button.

Select High: Block all pop-ups (Ctrl to overlap) to prevent pop-ups from showing, and click Close.

Check the box next to "Beep when pop-up is blocked" to configure the alert sound and click the "Close" button.
