Step 1
Open the network connections folder window. Click on the "Start" button located in the taskbar of the desktop. In the menu that appears, highlight the "Settings" item. Click on the "Network Connections" item.

Activate the mechanism to automatically fix network connectivity problems. Right-click on the shortcut corresponding to the network adapter that has an IP address that conflicts with another system on the network. A context menu will appear. Select the "Fix" item in it.
Step 3
Wait for the end of the process of automatic fixing of connection problems and check the result. After completing the actions of the previous step, a dialog box will open. It will display information on the progress of the error correction process. After its completion, click the "Close" button in the dialog and check the work with the network. If the problems persist, proceed to the next step.
Step 4
Open the properties dialog of the network connection. Click on the corresponding shortcut with the right mouse button and select "Properties" from the context menu.
Step 5
Open the TCP / IP network protocol settings dialog. In the list of "Components used by this connection" of the displayed dialog, select "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)". Click the Properties button.
Step 6
Change the IP address of the machine in the Properties: Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) dialog. Select the "Use the following IP address" option. In the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway controls, enter the appropriate values. You can get them from your system administrator or Internet service provider.
If the option to use a static IP address was already active, and its parameters have already been specified, the desired result can be obtained by changing the last component of the address.
Step 7
Commit your changes. Click the OK button in the current dialog. Click the Close button in the network connection properties dialog. After that, the process of applying the new parameters will begin. When it finishes, test your network operation.
